In Sudan, a police officer was shot dead by alleged pro-government militiamen at Kabkabiya market in North Darfur, CEOAFRICA news gathered.
According to eye witnesses, the police officer whose name was given as Mustafa Ibrahim Jabra was shot by militiamen riding motorcycles as he patrolled inside Kabkabiya market in North Darfur. The men seized his weapon before fleeing in the direction of the Aramba valley. Although, people tried to rescue the life of the police officer, but he gave up the ghost before reaching the hospital.
Meanwhile, the citizens of Kabkabiya city have appealed for the provision of tight security in the city, so as to stop the entry of militants and bring the perpetuators into book.
Similarly, a group of armed militiamen sparked panic and terror recently among people at the horse racing camp in Kabkabiya, when they fired into the air before ransacking a shop and robbing some displaced people of their cell phones.
However, the people robbed of their belongings have made official report at the police station in the region.
