Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has expressed regrets on the death of  Eunice Ayodele Fajuyi.

You will recall that Eunice Fajuyi was the wife of the first Military Governor of the defunct Western Region, the late Lt. Col. Francis Adekunle Fajuyi, who was killed in the July 29, 1966 military coup.

Governor Fayemi, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Olayinka Oyebode, said although losing Mama Fajuyi at this time is painful, he is consoled that the deceased lived a fulfilled life.

The Governor described Mama Fajuyi as religious, God-fearing, compassionate, generous, tolerant and selfless.

He noted that the death of the matriarch of the Fajuyi family  marked another watershed in the annals of the clan which is synonymous with sacrifice and patriotism.

Dr Fayemi praised  late Madam Fajuyi for being a good custodian of the Fajuyi Museum built and inaugurated by the National Leader of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

The governor on behalf of the government and the good people of Ekiti State, commiserate with the entire Fajuyi family and pray God to grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.
