One of the beneficiaries of last week’s free medical services who came for check-up on Saturday, Mrs Babalola a retired nurse while speaking with CEOAfrica correspondent said ‘‘I knew that I had cataract before I retired but, it was not ripe enough to be operated upon. A friend of mine told me about OSF free medical services and I came last week. I was so amazed because within 5 minutes, I was operated upon and the cataract was removed.  The surgery was free, I did not pay a penny and now I can see clearly with my eyes again. Thanks to Almighty God for giving us a man like Sugar, may God continue to bless him, I am grateful.’’

Dr. Yetunde speaking with CEOAfrica at the OSF headquarter

Also, a medical doctor at the OSF clinic Dr. Mrs. Yetunde said those that came for general check-up both young and old were attended to and over 60 people who had cataract were operated upon at the eye clinic.

Dr. Yetunde ceased the opportunity to call out to other philanthropists to emulate the good works of Hon Sugar. She said ‘‘ If those who are wealthy can try to key into what Sugar is doing, then everyone will be free of ailment because, not all patients are financially buoyant to take care of themselves’’.

Prior to this time, the Matron at the OSF clinic said major surgery has been suspended at the OSF clinic, because ‘‘most beneficiaries of the OSF free medical service do not buy drugs prescribed to them by doctors to help them heal fast. She lamented that most of the patients will sit at home after the surgery.’’

She however, advised patients to get the prescribed drugs in order for them to have a sound health.
