Eight Cameroonian Refugees died in Cross River

Eight Cameroonian Refugees were reported dead in Ikom, Cross River State.
The refugees were said to have died by fumes from a generator in their  apartment.
The Refugees whose death was caused by fumes from  a generator in their room were among those who crossed to Nigeria following the political crisis in southern Cameroon.
The National Commission For Refugees,Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons has expressed its sadness over the death of the eight Cameroonian Refugees.
The Honourable Federal Commissioner,Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq, in a statement said the death of the Refugees is a painful loss coming when the deceased were trying to survive the displacement they found themselves in.
She expressed the determination and commitment of the Commission to continue to execute its mandate to its Persons of concern while urging caution and adoption of safety measures by the refugees.
