The Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has approved the appointment of the Chairman of  Oyo State Transport Management Agency (OYTROMA) and the Board of Local Government Service Commission.

In a statement in Ibadan on Tuesday by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, the Governor appointed Dr. Mogaji Akin Fagbemi as the Chairman of the State’s Road Transport Management Agency.

He also appointed Dr. Remi Ayodele as the Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission while Mr. Kunle Yusuf was appointed as the Senior Special Assistant on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The newly appointed Chairman of the State’s Road Transport Management Agency, Dr. Akin Fagbemi, a holder of certificate in International Food Law from the Michigan State University, USA and a Master’s of Science Degree in Food Processing and Preservation, as well as PhD in Biotechnology, worked as a top administrator with the National Agency for Food & Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) for almost two decades.

In the 2019 general election, he was appointed as the Deputy-Director General (Oyo South) of Oyo State PDP Campaign Council.

Dr. Fagbemi is currently a Research Fellow at the International Institute for Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Ibadan and possesses several local and international certificates.

The statement named other members of the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission to include Alhaji Oyesina Oyedeji (full-time member), Mr. John Abisoye Adisa Oke (full-time member), Alhaji Oke Taiwo (part-time member) and Mrs. Nike Arewa (part-time member).
