Ahead of the State Congress of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Oyo State scheduled to hold today, majority leaders and stakeholders in Oluyole have endorsed Hon. Olalekan Adeyemo as the candidate for the Oyo Central Senatorial Chairman in the forthcoming State Congress.

This development was revealed to CEOAFRICA in a statement by the member House of Representatives, Oluyole Federal Constituency and Chairman, Committee on Diaspora, Hon. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe which was released by the Special Adviser Media & Publicity to the Chairperson House of Representatives Committee on Diaspora, Olamilekan Olusada.

According to the statement, Hon. Akande-Sadipe stated that she alongside other stakeholders were in support of Hon. Adeyemo’s candidacy.  According to her, Hon. Adeyemo’s experience among the party hierarchy had distinguished and characterized him as a man of three main virtues, integrity, experience and maturity which help the party triumph in the 2023 election.

She said, “The decision to adopt and endorse Hon. Olalekan Adeyemo was made in an open meeting by the majority of Stakeholders in Oluyole APC with the view of selecting the best candidate for the seat.”

Similarly, Hon. James Adeleke who was also present during the process added that the selection represents a democratic choice of a majority within the party.

Hon. Idowu Oyewale also added that Hon. Olalekan Adeyemo fondly called Baba Adeyemo has earned their support due to him being an eminent personality within the party structure as well as a favorite candidate amongst the leadership.

In the same vein, all ward chairmen present at the deliberation unanimously agreed that Hon. Olalekan Adeyemo, was the right candidate. They added that he had over the years amassed the respect as well as shown great quality of leadership.

The stakeholders also affixed their signature in a show of support to endorse Hon. Olalekan Adeyemo as the candidate for the Oyo Central Senatorial Chairman in the forthcoming State congress.

Some of the stakeholders who were in attendance and support were, Hon Oyeniyi Oyeniran, Hon James Adeleke, Elder Alamu Osuolale, Alhaja Adebiyi, Hon Gbolagade, Chief Garuba Lawal, Pa Abidogun, Alh Mufu Ladoja among many others.
