Wednesday 20th Oct.2021:As games of match-day three of the Europa League kicks off this thursday,Nigerian duo Kelechi Iheanacho and Victor Moses will clash as their teams Leicester City and Spartak Moscow meet at the Otkritie Arena, just as Foxes coach Brendan Rodgers says his team will keep an eye on his former player (Moses).
Rodgers side sit bottom of Group C with just one point from two games and must win three of their four remaining fixtures to reach the knockout rounds on Wednesday (today).
Speaking ahead of the game, Rodgers admitted former Nigeria international Moses posed a big threat to his side.

“I had Victor on loan and he was a really good player for me,” Rodgers said.
“He probably didn’t play as much as he would have liked, but when he did play, he made an impact. With Chelsea as well, he’s played at two great clubs. I know the threat he has, so we’ll have to keep an eye on him.”
“I know Victor Moses very well and if he’s out here playing that’s because he is playing for a very good team. We anticipate a difficult game.”
“I’m very impressed with Spartak play, how they want to play. They have dynamic players in attack and creative players in midfield. Victor is within that, but he’s one of a number of good players.”
Meanwhile, Moses, who is yet to score this season in 12 games, is also eager to add to his tally against the Foxes.
The former Wigan Athletic, Chelsea, Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham United man made his loan move from the Blues permanent in the summer.
He scored once against the Foxes in the colours of Chelsea in 2016 when the Blues defeated Leicester 3-0 at Stamford Bridge. The Nigerian put the icing on the cake with a close-range finish after latching on to a backheel pass from Nathaniel Chalobah in the 80th minute.
“When Leicester visited Chelsea in 2016 as a champion, we won 3-0, and I managed to score one of the goals. As a result, Chelsea won the title that season. I hope we win on Wednesday (today) too, and I will be able to consolidate my personal positive statistics,” Moses told the club website while reflecting on his performance for Chelsea against Leicester in 2016.
Moses has played nine times against Leicester City, recording five wins, two defeats and two draws.
He also believes Spartak Moscow will be up for the challenge against Leicester City in the encounter.
“Today, they (Leicester City) can be called one of the strongest in England. They are the current holders of the FA Cup in England and last weekend they beat Manchester United.
“It is clear that it will be very difficult for us. Personally, I have good statistics against Leicester. In the Premier League, if I’m not mistaken, I lost to them only once.”
