Doctors under the auspices of the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) have suspended the strike ultimatum to the Federal Government to meet their demands, especially the payment of the newly-reviewed Medical Residency Training Fund and implementation of the new Hazard allowance, among others.
NARD President, Dr. Godiya Ishaya, who confirmed this to Newsmen on Thursday in Abuja said the decision was as a result of a virtual meeting held by the Association on Wednesday to decide the next line of action.
Dr. Ishaya stated that the National Executive Council (NEC) members all concluded to suspend the strike ultimatum as a result of the level of progress made by the Federal Government in meeting some of its demands.
