EFCC declares man wanted for money laundering

A 56-year-old man identified as Gbadebo Adeniyi Adeoye, has been declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The EFCC, in a statement on Wednesday, accused Gbadebo Adeniyi Adeoye of engaging in activities such as obtaining money under false pretenses, committing criminal breach of trust, and participating in money laundering.

The anti-graft agency disclosed that Adeoye hails from the Ife East Local Government Area in Osun State and gave his most recent address is 15 Hassan Adamu Street, Guzape, in the Federal Capital Territory.

The EFCC urged members of the public with useful information about Adeoye or his whereabouts to contact the nearest office of the agency or call its numbers.

Gbadebo Adeniyi Adeoye He maintained that the return of such funds to countries of origin “is a fundamental principle of the United Nations Convention against Corruption.
