White House has disclosed that President Donald Trump is monitoring security situation in Nigeria very closely.

CEOAFRICA recalls that Trump on Friday last week designated Nigeria as Country of Particular Concerns over alleged persecution of Christians in the country.

The US President, who believes that Christians in Nigeria are being killed everyday, also threatened military action, outlining that if the Nigerian government fails to stop the killing of Christians, the US department of war will not hesitate to intervene.

Addressing reporters on Tuesday, White House press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, in an update, said the security situation is being monitored.

She said the US government will immediately withdraw its aid to Nigeria and take action to wipe out the terrorists if the security situation continues to escalate.

According to her, if the “Nigerian government continues the killing of Christians, the United States will immediately stop all the raids and assistance to Nigeria and may take action to wipe out the Islamic terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities, especially against innocent women and children.

“I can assure you that the President of the United States is watching the situation very closely”.
