Kaduna State chapter of the PDP yesterday endorsed the presidential ambition of Sen. Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi.

The endorsement was done at the state secretariat of the party in Kaduna after major stakeholders met with the presidential aspirant in Kaduna.

The former Governor of Kaduna State had a week ago declared his intention to run for the presidency.

Speaking at the stakeholders’ meeting, state Chairman of the PDP, Dr. Hassan Hyet, said the former governor was coming into the race at a time Nigeria needed a man of vision.

Dr. Hyet said, “On that day we will not be the ones to escort others to the seat of power, but others will be the ones to escort Makarfi to Aso Rock as the elected president by the special grace of God.”

Therefore, he urged every party member to gear up towards achieving Makarfi’s presidential aspiration because he (Makarfi) over the years had stood his ground to ensure the unity of the party.
