ENUGU-Wednesday, 21 April 2021: Gunmen have attacked a Divisional Police Station in Adani, in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State, and killed three officers that were on duty while others were injured.

It was gathered that the attack on the police station occurred about 2:30am and lasted till about 3:30am on Wednesday.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, Daniel Ndukwe, confirmed the attack.

He said “Yes, there is a report of an attack on Adani Divisional Police station this early morning. However, the details of the incident are still sketchy.”

The attack on the Enugu Police Station is coming barely 24 hours after a Police Zonal Headquarters, Zone 13 in Ukpo, Anambra State was attacked.
